It was October 2008 and I had a headache. Not like your typical headache but rather like someone was stomping on my brain. After 2 days I decided to see a Dr near my work.
“Are you stressed with work?” quizzed the doctor.
“Of course, who isn’t?” I replied.
“Hmmm, have you taken anything for it?”
“Just some Nurofen” I said between the brain stomps.
“Ah, I see the problem” remarked the doc, “you’re probably just stressed and, oh, you need Nurofen Plus”…
So, that’s how it ended at that meeting and how it nearly ended for me, permanently.
Playing basketball that night with a headache and on Nurofen Plus my brain was throbbing, worse than ever but I made it through the game.
However, that night my head hurt just touching my oh-so-soft pillow. But according to the doc, it was just a headache, right?
The next day I took the day off to rest and to meet with another Dr.
This time things were different. Around lunchtime my headache vanished but I still decided to go to my appointment. I mean, a headache for 3 days is surely unusual, right?
This Dr. asked more questions, about my history and took a better look at me.
He sensed something was up, so he sent me for a CT of my brain, on the spot.
The CT showed I had suffered a major brain haemorrhage and I should have been dead. Needless to say in the next few moments I was rushed to hospital and after emergency brain surgery and a few months rehab I was finally able to reflect on how lucky I was…
My mission, since that day, is to ensure that people don’t put things off and to empower them to do something positive for themselves, today. Don’t wait until Monday, because it might never come. Morbid, I know, but it’s true.
You see, the first doctor gave me the right medicine, but was treating the wrong condition.
At Fidget it’s our job to diagnose you properly. To work out what you are trying to achieve and then give you the correct medicine to get you there faster, cheaper and safer.
It’s too easy to just give you a cheap interest rate on a home loan, without listening to (and helping formulate) your short-medium and long term goals.
Would it be easy to get to where you’re going if someone could help you access the money to get you there?
So, my question to you is… What are you putting off?
Are you thinking about buying a property? Or maybe refinancing your existing a home loan, to release some equity or just get a better deal? Maybe you are thinking about buying your first place but no idea where to start?
Well, that’s where we come in.
The right advice, at the wrong time can cost you dearly. So can your inability to act when the time is right.
So, let’s find you the right medicine 😊
